Happy Halloween
Now that you’re all thoroughly freaked out, you can enjoy the rest of your holiday without fear of anything worse. Have a happy and safe Halloween.
Nokia Announces the Death of the N-Gage
Nokia has just gotten around to realizing that the N-Gage is dead in the water, twice. In related news, Japan lost World War II, and the Roman Empire fell. This one is filed under Games, but I don’t know why.

Netflix Not a “NEW” DVD Rental Company…
I’ve been a Netflix user almost from the very start. My account is about six or seven years old now (with some brief pauses in service) and I’m here to tell you that I’m about done with it all.
For some time, it’s been my understanding with Netflix that if I want to get a new relase movie on DVD or Blu-Ray, I need to strategically send the current disc I have back to the warehouse to coincide with the date of the new release. Usually if I send the movie in on a Saturday, they’ll get it by Monday and send me the new movie that is scheduled to release the next day on Tuesday. However, for well over 2 months now I have habitually been sending old, unwatched titles they’ve sent me back on these days (just like I always used to) only to get a movie that was number 5 or 6 down on my Que instead of the new release I wanted.
The Ettatorial for the Week of 10-21-09
A bit of a change this week, as while I purchased 6 books this week, I haven’t yet had a chance to read them as of writing this (working 12 hour days and having a child will do that to you). Instead, while all of you are reading this, I will be sitting in St. [...]
Burger King Offers the Windows 7 Whopper: Japan Only
I couldn’t care less about the release of Windows 7 today, until now. Burger King is offering the largest Whopper I have ever seen, in a county of the smallest people I can think of. I guess they just want to market it, not really sell it. Still, if they offered it here in the [...]
The Ettatorial for the Week of 10-14-09
A very nice week of releases this week, highlighted by one that’s really close to my heart.
This week’s pick is CBLDF Presents Liberty Comics #2. This issue was made to benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. A non-profit made to defend the First Amendment and creators rights, this is a charity that is deserving [...]
The Ettatorial for the Week of 10-7-09
A pretty good size of releases this week, all of them pretty good reads. But there was only one obvious choice for pick of the week. What was it you ask? Read on for more.
Your pick this week is Planetary #27. Three years in the making. That’s how long it’s been since issue twenty-six was [...]
Road Rash Returns
For years now, Etta and I have been wondering when the Road Rash series will return. In the back of my head I wondered if, when it returned, it would really interest me anymore. Have we moved on? Would Road Rash still seem relevant? The video above is a very early version of the game, [...]
The Ettatorial for the Week of 9-30-09
A small week of releases for me this week, only three in total. As such, only one book gets the nod for book of the week.
My pick this week is Amazing Spider-Man #607. Under the pen of Joe Kelly, Spider-Man has all of the trade-mark humor that I personally love in the character. Witty banter, [...]
