ABC Cancels Pushing Daisies
Jason is a big fan, so I know this is a letdown, but maybe Heroes will improve now?

Once again one of the big 3 (4?) networks shows it’s limited vision by cancelling a smart, innovative program.
Yes, let’s make way for more “American Idol” rip-offs and “Who’s Smarter Than a Redneck?”. Funny, intelligent shows that are suitable viewing for the whole family are so incredibly rare and this was one of them. Great job, ABC, and a another “kudos” to the american viewing audience. Let’s support 4 different “CSI’s”, 3 diffent “Law and Orders” and about a hundred billion “reality” shows with stars like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian…but not a well-written, warm comedy/mystery like “Pushing Daisies”.
This show now joins the likes of “the Tick”, “Arrested Development” and “Freaks and Geeks” in a long line of brilliant television programs that were cancelled long before their time.
The adventures of Ned the Pie Man, his un-dead love Charlotte (Chuck) Charles, Emerson Cod the P.I. and Olive Snook (love that name!) will be sorely missed.
