Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

    By Jay Alan | September 10, 2007

Seriously? This has to be a joke. Indy IV is, “The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”? Flashbacks of Temple of Doom…

No love for ToD! You know, I still think it’s a good movie (and better than Last Crusade), and while doing another Indy movie is a bad idea, in theory the title works.

You know I just don’t like the idea of Indy going after non-epic items. Indy is Indy, he shouldn’t be finding rocks or skulls, he should be finding the Ark and the Holy Grail. There are still plenty of things interesting to find, how about Excalibur, or Atlantis, either of those would interest me more than a Crystal Skull, ugh.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! You know, as soon as I heard this title announced yesterday, all I could think of was that moment back in 1998 when the “Phantom Menace” was revealed to be the name of the first Star Wars movie in 16 years. Honestly, look at Die Hard 4, people. Is the american public really screaming for a 60+ action hero? I think the answer is a big “NO!”. They should have left Indy where we last saw him, literally riding off into the sunset after his greatest adventure ever. After the hurt and shame George Lucas instilled onto my childhood memories of Star Wars with the awful prequel trilogy, I can honestly say I’ve learned my lesson and will avoid “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” like a urine-soaked hobo on the subway.

Oh, and Etta…”Temple of Doom” sucked balls…
