Andy Richter Returns!
For years my friends and I have speculated. I was literally planing to write a column this week begging for it. Now it’s all coming true, the one thing that will complete Conan O’Briens move to The Tonight Show: Andy Richter is returning.
Richter will fill the role once held by Ed McMahon, serving as the announcer for the “Tonight Show” when Conan O’Brien takes over the reins from Jay Leno on June 1
Andy left Late Night to start a career in television sitcoms, all of which failed through no fault of his own, he’s a damn funny guy (if you don’t believe me, just check out his guest appearances on Arrested Development). Returning to Late Night might have made it look like Andy couldn’t make it on his own, but this is The Tonight Show, this is a big deal and his return will help ensure Conan’s success.
It’ll be great to have you back Andy, we’ve missed you.
