Arrested Development Movie Finally Happening?

I always talk about how I don’t like to post rumors to the site whenever I post a story that is a total rumor. So consider that for a moment. I don’t report on rumors, yet here I am, reporting on a rumor. It’s like a black hole of contradiction. How do I get around this? That handy-dandy question mark at the end of the title, that’s how. That, and the fact that an Arrested Development movie needs to happen. Anyway, my point is, the Internet is abuzz with news of a rumored movie version of the greatest television show of all time:
Well luckily for all involved, the subject line referred to a Page Six report that plans are most definitely in motion to bring Arrested Development to the big screen! Apparently Jeffrey Tambor had a recent chat with the show’s executive producer, Ron Howard, and Howard asked if he’d be up for a movie reunion. He said “there’s a push to get the movie made” and plans to start pre-production after the writer’s strike ends. Yes this news puts an Arrested Development movie in pre-pre-production, but that’s still one step above rumor.
This is still very unlikely to happen, but I figure people talking about Arrested Development is never a bad thing, maybe someday Hollywood will realize that and actually make this happen.

And just in case you forgot how funny AD really was, I submit:
Michael: You haven’t auditioned yet?
Tobias: Oh, no, no. I’m not in the group yet. No, I’m afraid I just blue myself.
Michael: There’s got to be a better way to say that.
