The Ettatorial for the Week of 1-16-08

A medium sized week of release, with the typical results. Some good, some not, but with only one book that could be my pick of the week. This week, my pick is Fell #9. Fell is a book that continually brings it’s “A” game. Never dull, always intelligent, and always a surprise for it’s readers. And it’s best attribute, it’s always a done-in-one story, never requiring the reader to be a continuity whore. It reads like the best television show not on the air. It’s subject matter, being a police/detective book is hot right now, yet all people get to see is CSI and it’s millions of spin-offs. This is the alternative, and it’s so much better.
