The Ettatorial for the Week of 11-21-07
A huge week of releases this week, making the decision for the picks of the week even more difficult. A week that has an issue of Ex Machina, Captain America, and Brave and the Bold come out and not get it is a pretty impressive week indeed. Even Countdown was good, and considering how much I’ve been disappointed, thats saying a lot. That said, three books are getting the nod this week. The first, Powers #27, is another great issue of the series after the slow slacking off the book had been going through in the early 20s. The second, Checkmate #20, is the conclusion to just about every plot point since the book began, and all of it ties together nicely, giving fans of a more intellectual series fits of joy. The last for this week, Godland #20, is for fans of cosmic book, Kirby fans, and for Grant Morrison. The book constantly is entertaining, and I defy anyone to be able to say predictable. Good stuff.
