The Ettatorial for the Week of 12-05-07

A small week of releases this week for me, leaving me with a couple picks and not much else to say. Those that have enjoyed Marvel’s Avengers: The Initiative and the current Marvel Universe “flavor” will love Avengers: The Initiative Annual #1. It definitely fills the reader in a ton of information, not to mention leaves you waiting on the monthly to fill you in on even more (Plus, as a special bonus, it’s also the beginning of writer Christos Gage on co-writing status, a boon for Dan Slott and Marvel in general). My other pick is Justice League of America #15. While it’s the fourth, and final part of Dwyane McDuffie’s initial story-arc, it’s also what fans of good old-fashioned super-hero books wanted: the JLA vs. the Injustice League. It’s just what fans of the Justice League cartoon already knew, and thats the fact the McDuffie knows and can handle these characters better than most. So there you have it, your picks of the week.
