BioShock is Going to Rock. Hard.
Jesus. I had no idea going in what to expect from this game, but after playing the demo, I now understand what all the hype is about. I had never played any of the System Shock games, I was aware of them, but being a console gamer, that was about it. I knew BioShock was some heavily hyped new shooter that looked impressive in the few screens I’d seen, but I had no idea of the atmosphere, art direction and mood a game could create. If Roger Ebert still thinks games can’t be art, he needs to get off his lazy ass and play 5 minutes of this.
The creepiness of this game is amazing, play this one with the lights out on an HDTV with surround and I have a feeling this will be one of the best experiences of the year.
BTW: Some Toy’s R Us stores have broken the date on this one, so you may be able to find it early if you are interested.
