Simon Pegg is Scotty in Star Trek
The latest addition to J.J. Abrams big budget Star Trek remake is Simon Pegg in the role of Scotty. Seems like a decent fit.
Also recently announced is John Cho as Sulu, from Harold and Kumar fame.
I’m very supprised by the number of big name recognizable stars that are going to be in this film, seems like an odd choice. Then again, a $150 million budget seems like an odd choice when the last Star Trek film, Nemesis, brought in only $67 million world wide.
Other cast members include Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Eric Bana as the villian, Nero and Zach Quinto (Sylar from Heroes) as Spock, for some pictures check out First Showing.
