Packs of Wild Monkeys Kill Deputy Mayor of Delhi
If a story like this didn’t come from such a credible news source (the BBC) I don’t think I would believe it.
SS Bajwa suffered serious head injuries when he fell from the first-floor terrace of his home on Saturday morning trying to fight off the monkeys.
The city has long struggled to counter its plague of monkeys, which invade government complexes and temples, snatch food and scare passers-by.
The population is mostly Hindu, who revere the monkeys as a manifestation of the monkey god Hanuman, adding to the problem by feeding the monkeys food. And I thought my neighborhood was rough.
