    Canon SD 630 Shots

    By Jay Alan | March 31, 2008

Some of you may recall my incredibly popular (thank you StumbleUpon users!) post last month about Canon replacing my broken SD 100 Digital Camera for free. I have since received my new camera and (finally) gotten a chance to take some shots with it.

It’s a nice camera, the body is plastic (unlike the metal body on my old SD100), but despite this it feels incredibly strong, it doesn’t have as many manual settings as my old SD 100 either, and it seems to overexpose (slightly) outdoor shots. Other than those complaints, it take good shots, even with the slight overexposure it retains plenty of  color data in the JPG’s so the shots are easily fixable in iPhoto. Also, not having a viewfinder is odd at first, but the LCD is enormous, and when was the last time you actually used the viewfinder on a non-DSLR?
