I Live in the Bizzaro Universe
By Jay Alan | May 21, 2008
As a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, I still don’t know how I feel about the fact one of my favorite players of the past ten years is now playing for the enemy. I know it’s the way the game works now a days, players won’t play for the same team forever, but this just feels… wrong. But at least we can still watch him do stuff like this.
For those of you who aren’t baseball fans, or just listen to what ESPN talks about, the Cub/Cardinal rivalry is as big in the Midwest as the Yankee/Red Sox rivalry is on the East Coast. Where I grew up, you’re either red or blue, smack in between the city’s of Chicago and St. Louis, it makes sense (although being a Cub fan really doesn’t, it’s been 100 years people, let it go).
