It’s Almost Baseball Season…
I wish I could tell you the above picture is some kind of joke, but alas, I can not. That’s right, Major League Baseball (in this case the Florida Marlins) is trying to get a group of overweight, non-talented men to become a dance squad. Really-just check it out here. This is a team that just won a World Series in 2003. I understand that Major League Baseball is trying to shine the spotlight in another direction due to the Mitchell Report and the obvious problem due to steroids, but is this the way to do it? Really? An overweight male dance squad to make fools of themselves and their organization? Isn’t this also from a club that has attendance issues? Why would this be a draw? No wonder football is quickly becoming America’s sport.
