How to Report the News
I know there’s been a distinct lack of content here on Project Silence the last few weeks, but luckily we have Etta around to at least bring you an entry in the fantastic and long running Ettatorial once a week (every Sunday for those in the know). Thanks for holding down the fort (like always), [...]
Microsofts Project Natal
Microsoft showed quite a bit of expected and unexpected things at their E3 Press Conference today, but if there is one thing that will get people talking, it’s Project Natal. This is the kind of thing that, if it works, could change the game in a lot of ways. Of course in the likely event [...]
Zune Pass Becomes A Great Deal
I may be no fan of Microsofts core products, but they have some amazing talent in their other department. The Zune is a more than competent competator to the iPod and it’s subscriptions service (for $15 bucks a month you can sample everything), just got better with the ability to keep 10 of those songes [...]
My First Day With NXE: Lots of Good, A Few First Day Problems
I arrived home from work extra early yesterday (yes, I have a full time job, Project Silence does not pay the bills), to jump on the NXE and check out all the new bells and whistles. I thought I would take this opportunity to share some of my experiences with those who haven’t yet had [...]

All of the affected titles from our [...]

Then again, if the point of advertising is to get people talking, this commercials has done that [...]

NXE Social Details Video for Developers
One of our readers (and friends) has found this video from Microsoft. It’s intended for developers, but it outlines some interesting facts about the new social experiences for the New Xbox Experience.

October Console Sales, Sony Down Across The Board
While Nintendo and Microsoft managed sales increases in this difficult market, Sony was not so lucky. All three Sony platforms (PS3, PSP, PS2) where down 18% or more for the month of October. Nintendo was up 16% and Microsoft increased sales by 6%.
Time to drop those prices Sony, both the Wii and Xbox 360 are [...]
Gears of War 2 Tops 2 Million Sales in One Weekend
Wow, far more people were anticipating a sequel to what I considered a mediocre shooter than I ever could have guessed. Two million copies over it’s first weekend makes Gears of War 2 an amazingly successful game for Microsoft.
