Microsoft Resets Live Cheaters Achievements to Zero, Labels Them for All the World to See

    Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Microsoft is taking Achievement Points quite serious, it seems. They see to have developed some method for catching Gamerscore cheaters, and are acting accordingly, according to Major Nelson:
The steps today takes the form of the following:
    • Resetting the entire Gamerscore for an account to zero
    • The account will be unable to regain all previously obtained achievements and [...]

Halo 3 Gets 3 “New” Maps in April

    Thursday, March 20th, 2008

According to Bungie the Legendary Map Pack will arrive on Xbox Live on April 15th. The reason I call the maps, “new” is that only one is actually new. One is a remake of the classic Sidewinder from the original Halo, Ghost Town is new, and the 3rd yet to be announced map will [...]

A few weeks ago Microsoft promised a free game to Live users for all the problems experienced during the Christmas and New Years holidays. The decided upon free game will be Undertow, an underwater shooter that looks about as much fun as a bad episode of SeaQuest DSV. It’s a shame Microsoft couldn’t just give [...]

    Friday, January 4th, 2008

It’s not really news that Xbox Live has been having serious issues since Christmas. A massive influx of new users meant that Microsoft’s servers have had some problems keeping pace. Luckily, they actually feel bad about the situation and will be offering a free game to both Gold and Silver members:

    Monday, December 24th, 2007

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video
A Rube Goldberg machine is an elaborate system for performing a simple task. Like the game Mouse Trap. Here, someone creates an entire Rube Goldberg Machine to commit suicide in Halo 3. While it’s very impressive, I can’t help but call it a waste [...]

Any time Ubisoft Montreal (the people who brought us Asssasin’s Creed and the Rainbow Six series) announces a game I’m going to be interested. When that game is the sequel to the best game of 2006, that’s time to be elated. While it’s a bit disappointing that Team Rainbow is going to remain in Sin [...]

    Xbox Live Turns Five

    Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

It’s hard to believe that Xbox Live has been around for five years, it seems only yesterday that Brian and I were Beta testing the service, having a blast in Moto GP. Microsoft is having a celebration, of sorts, those who have been with the service since the beginning will be given 500 MS Points, [...]

A Comprehensive List of People Who Are Ruining Halo 3

    Sunday, October 21st, 2007

1P Start, an until today unknown gaming blog, posted a list of people who are ruining the Halo 3 experience for the rest of us. Most of it I have to agree with, the Campers, children (and you don’t have to be young to act like one) and general lamers I tend to agree with. [...]
