Jay Leno is a Liar. Pants Are on Fire (but his comedy never is)

Here’s an interesting clip from 2004 where Jay announces how he will gracefully retire from in 2009. Talking about his Tonight Show takeover he said, “there was a lot of animosity between me and Dave, and who was gonna get it. A lot of good friendships were permanently damaged and I don’t want to see anybody have to go through that again.” Too late for that, Mr. Leno, you don’t seem to have any friends left, other than your cars.

He also talks about how he will step aside to let Conan take over, the same way Carson did for him. He mentions how he’ll be almost 60 in 2009, and I quote, “there’s really only one person who could of done this into their 60′s, and that was Johnny Carson. I think it’s fair to say, I’m no Johnny Carson.” That may be the first and last time I ever agree with you Mr. Leno. You are certainly no Johnny Carson, you lack a little something he had. What is it? Oh yeah, class. I wish Letterman had taken the show out from under you 20 years ago, as he could have done.
